Insurance and Direct Billing

At Kare Dental, apart from giving you the best dental care we can, one of the other main objectives of our dental practice is to make sure payment is easy and convenient for you. 

We offer Direct Insurance Billing. If their insurance allows for assignment of benefits, our patients do not have to pay for their dental treatment in advance and wait for reimbursement from their insurance company. Once treatment has been completed, our dental office will simplify the process by submitting the claim to your insurance company directly. The insurance company will directly reimburse our dental clinic. The only amount that you need to pay up front is any deductible and the difference between your coverage for dental treatment and the actual cost of treatment received (your co-pay). For example, if 90% of the cost of the dental  treatment is covered by your insurance company, a patient would only need to pay the balance of 10% to our dental clinic.

Once a patient gives our clinic authorization, we will contact the patient’s insurance company to obtain details of their insurance coverage.  Prior to your first visit to our dental office, we will try to find out the insurance limit per year, procedures covered, and your eligibility for x-rays or further examination and treatment. 

Providing such direct billing with insurance companies is an added service, our dental clinic in Vancouver provides for the ease and convenience for our patients. However, we wish to kindly remind patients that it is their responsibility to  be aware of their insurance limits and coverage details and amount of coverage used so far.  Please let our office know if there are any job changes, insurance changes, or if you have been to another general dentist or dental specialist office and have used this insurance for the coverage year.

Should there be any payment or partial payment not covered by a patient’s insurance, this balance can be settled by using cash or credit cards such as Visa card, Mastercard, or Interac.
